About the N.E.W. 200 Foundation?
"Foundations such as ours have greatly increased in number over the last few years to deal with changes in school financing, embrace exciting new technologies, accommodate demographic shifts and ease the financial burdens cause by aging physical facilities and the growing shortage of teachers. Too often innovative programs in the arts, science and technology remain beyond the reach of traditional funding capabilities. We seek to extend that reach and provide every student with a world class education."
The N.E.W. 200 Foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to funding new programs and rewarding initiative on the part of teachers and students. The Foundation works in collaboration with District 200 but is independent from it. The foundation is operated by a volunteer group of parents. We are your neighbors and we need your help in furthering our mission. Each one of us can influence the quality of the learning that goes on in District 200 by joining the community-school partnership.
The N.E.W. 200 Mission Statement is to enhance the school experience of District 200 students by:
- Funding innovative education
- Extending educational opportunities
- Recognizing excellence in teaching
- Fostering community partnerships
