Distinguished Teacher
Grants
The N.E.W. 200 Foundation supports District 200 Schools through grants directly to teachers or principals. We work closely with District 200 to ensure that our support is targeted most effectively to advance learning and to match District or school initiatives. We support education through
annual minigrants and occasional larger grants.
Below is a list of District 200 schools and the monetary awards they have received:
Scholarships
Bob Davis

The 2007 Bob Davis Scholarships were presented at the
February 10th Spanish University meeting. Each
of our Scholarship Recipients will receive a $500
Scholarship to be applied to their college education. The
awards were presented by Mark Bridges, President.

The
Foundation has established a scholarship in the name
of Bob Davis, to support individual students in our
community.
Bob Davis was born in 1944 and died in 2006. He was
a District 200 School Board member for nearly 10
years from 1995-2004 and President of the District
200 School Board from 1999-2001. Bob was a Wheaton
North Falcon Booster member as well as a father of 3
Wheaton North graduates. He was a tireless advocate
for the entire District 200 community |

Distinguished
Teacher
|
The 2007 Distinguished Teacher
Awards were presented at the April 25th School Board
meeting. The Foundation gave out one award each at
the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. Each
of our awardees will receive a personalized plaque
recognizing their efforts and a check for $100. The
awards were presented by Mark Bridges, President,
and Jan Walsh, Distinguished Teacher Award Chair.

Gifted and Talented Education
Supporters in District 200 (GATES-200) began this
program 6 years ago. In order to expand the
recognition program, and through mutual agreement of
the two organizations, it is now administered by The
N.E.W. 200 Foundation. |
